The FBI Charlotte Field Office is 65,000 square foot, 3 building complex consisting of a 5-
story office building, a 2-level structured parking deck and 1 story vehicular Annex facility.
The architectural concept for the FBI Charlotte Field Office specifically addresses FBI mission
critical and design excellence objectives. In particular: The curvilinear shape of the office
building creates a formal front lawn for the building and allows for a formal entry drive. The
site’s exposure has been utilized to create prominent vistas to the office building from several
points on Microsoft Drive from Arrowood Road to the Microsoft office buildings and to create
useable secure open space for FBI use on the site. The landscape concept enhances security
and provides interesting views from outside and inside the building and reinforces the overall
design.
