HAMILTON, MONTANA BIO SAFETY LEVEL 4 LAB 86,000 SF When completed in 2005, the laboratory will contain approximately 38,000 GSF of high containment BSL3Ag and BSL4 laboratory and vivarium space as well as approximately 42,000 GSF of BSL3 and BSL2 laboratory, office and other building support space. The project also includes additions to an existing campus utility and central plant infrastructure to support the new laboratory. This world-class infectious disease biomedical research containment facility is to serve as the cornerstone for the long-term master plan initiatives for the Rocky Mountain Laboratory Campus. The facility is being designed to allow research on known, as well as emerging and unknown diseases. A component of the design will address the need for biological terrorism preparedness.
